Billing & Subscription
Manage your CosmosCost subscription, payment methods, and view invoices.
Accessing Billing
Navigate to Billing from the dashboard sidebar. Note: Only organization admins can access billing management.
Subscription Management
Current Plan
View your active subscription plan, features included, and usage limits.
Upgrade Plan
Upgrade to Business or Business+ for more cloud accounts and features.
Invoice History
Access past invoices and download receipts for your records.
Payment Methods
Update your credit card or payment information securely.
Upgrading Your Plan
- Navigate to Billing from the dashboard sidebar
- Review available plans and their features
- Click "Upgrade" on your desired plan
- Confirm your payment method
- Complete the upgrade - new features are available immediately
Pro-rated Billing
When upgrading mid-cycle, you'll only be charged the difference for the remaining days in your billing period.
Downgrading Your Plan
- Navigate to Billing from the dashboard sidebar
- Click "Change Plan"
- Select a lower tier plan
- Review what features will be affected
- Confirm the downgrade
Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You'll retain access to all features until then.
Before Downgrading
Make sure you're within the limits of your new plan. For example, if downgrading to Free, you can only have 1 cloud account connected. Remove extra accounts before downgrading.
Updating Payment Method
- Navigate to Billing from the dashboard sidebar
- Find the "Payment Method" section
- Click "Update" or "Add New Card"
- Enter your new card details
- Save your changes
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. CosmosCost never stores your full card number.
Viewing Invoices
- Navigate to Billing from the dashboard sidebar
- Scroll to the "Invoice History" section
- Click on any invoice to view details
- Use the "Download PDF" button to save a copy

Canceling Your Subscription
To cancel your paid subscription:
- Navigate to Billing from the dashboard sidebar
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Select a reason for canceling (optional)
- Confirm the cancellation
Your account will be downgraded to the Free plan at the end of your current billing period. All your data will be preserved, but you'll be limited to Free plan features.
