Settings & Preferences

Customize your CosmosCost experience and manage your account preferences.

Accessing Settings

Navigate to Settings from the dashboard sidebar to access all configuration options for your account and organization.

Available Settings

Profile Settings

Manage your personal account information.

  • Update your display name
  • Change your email address
  • Update your password

AI Features

Control AI-powered cost insights and suggestions.

  • Enable/disable AI suggestions toggle
  • AI runs locally in your browser - data never leaves your device

Theme & Display

Customize how CosmosCost looks.

  • Toggle between light and dark mode
  • System preference detection (automatic)

Organization Settings

Admin Only

Manage organization-wide settings (requires admin role).

  • Update organization name
  • Configure default preferences for new users
  • Manage data retention policies

Changing Your Password

  1. Go to Settings from the dashboard sidebar
  2. Find the Profile section
  3. Click "Change Password"
  4. Enter your current password
  5. Enter and confirm your new password
  6. Click Save

Password Requirements

Your password must be at least 8 characters long and include a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters.

Enabling AI Suggestions

  1. Go to Settings from the dashboard sidebar
  2. Find the Preferences section
  3. Toggle "AI Suggestions" on or off
  4. When enabled, AI insights will appear throughout the dashboard
